New Year, New Me Bullshit

I’m not a huge fan of “New Years Resolutions.” I think it’s awesome people want to better themselves–after all I am the queen of self improvement and reinvention–but why do we think we only get one chance a year to do that? You can better yourself at 3 pm on a Sunday afternoon by reading a good book or at 5 am when you drag yourself to spin class. You can better yourself in February or July or both. There aren’t any rules.

For me the end of the year means that I get another 365 days to grow, take up more space, be a beginner, read more books, try new foods, explore….

If there is anything 2017 taught me, it’s that self-criticism doesn’t get you very far. In fact, a negative mind never brings you to a beautiful destination.

Let 2018 take you somewhere effing beautiful….
